Publishing to the Catalog
To make your story available to users through t-PlotBot, you need to publish it to the catalog. Publishing is done through the Publish page on the Developers Portal.
Bot Settingsβ
Before publishing, configure your bot on the Publish page:
Bot Tokenβ
Your bot's token, obtained by creating a bot through BotFather.
Bot Nameβ
Your bot's Telegram username without the @ symbol or the https://t.me/ prefix.
Catalog Configurationβ
Set up how your story will appear in the catalog.
Bot Pictureβ
Upload a cover image for your story. This image is displayed in the catalog when users browse available stories.
- Format: JPEG
- Maximum size: 500x500 pixels
- Maximum file size: 1 MB
Metadata (per language)β
For each supported language, fill in:

| Title | 15 characters | The name of your story shown in the catalog |
| Excerpt | 40 characters | A short tagline shown under the title |
| Description | 200 characters | A longer description shown on the story page |
Keep the title short and catchy. The excerpt should give users a reason to click.
Submitting for Reviewβ
Once your catalog configuration is ready:
- Make sure your script has no validation errors (click Check in the editor or Save to validate)
- Fill in all required catalog fields (title, excerpt, description) for at least the native language
- Upload a bot picture
- Click Submit to Catalog
Your story will be sent for review. The review process ensures that all published stories meet the platform's quality and content guidelines.
Review Processβ
After submitting, your story enters the review queue. During review:
- Your story's content is checked for quality and compliance
- You cannot modify the published version while it's under review
- You can continue editing your script β changes will not affect the submitted version
Review Outcomesβ
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Published | Your story passed review and is now available in the catalog |
| Rejected | Your story did not pass review. Check the feedback and resubmit |
Managing a Published Storyβ
Once published, you can:
- Stop publishing β temporarily removes your story from the catalog. Users who already started playing can continue, but new users won't see it
- Resume publishing β makes your story visible in the catalog again
Updating a Published Storyβ
To update a published story with new content:
- Edit your script in the web editor
- Save and validate
- Submit to catalog again β the new version will go through review
